O Night Divine!

in the 13th floor elevators documenary roky erickson's talking and says something like "i'd be in church and there'd be certain songs that would just knock me out like 'o holy night' thats like some rock n roll song man like pluggin in your favorite station", such true words! i am not religious, god is not a thing that exists for me, but the fact that religious music is supposed to be coming from some source of divinity, just the idea of that, hell what could be better? i mean some christmas music really "knocks me out" haha but i also thought of this.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRLus8mD1kI there are things like this, that make me want to go to church. just to sing. like a black church. that only sings. i could get into it. by that i mean i could really pretend to love jesus if i could really get down with some great gospel music.
